Learn how to effectively conduct education in design-based activities in technological subjects such as Materials Technology (Wood), Design and Communication Graphics and Construction Studies, and have fun collaborating with people in the educational industry.

This course prepares for education by subject matter relevant to requirements of the Leaving Certificate and Junior Certificate syllabuses in the Technology subjects of Ireland. Graduates will specialise in education in the syllabus of

CAO Minimum Points Entry 2017: 424

  • Leaving certificate (or approved equivalent): min 6 subjects
    • Two H5 (Higher level) grades*
    • Four O6 (Ordinary level) grades*; OR
    • Four H7 (Higher level) grades*
    • O3/H7 grade in Mathematics
    • O4/H7 grade in Applied Mathematics; OR Biology; OR Physics; OR Chemistry; OR Construction Studies; OR Engineering; OR Physics with Chemistry; OR Agricultural Science; OR Technology; OR Design & Communication Graphics /Technical Drawing

*Subjects must include Mathematics, Irish or another language, and English
