What are the skills needed in TESOL (English Language)?
1. Adaptability
Adaptability refers to the ability to change your actions, course or approach of doing things in order to suit a new situation. The use of language is very wide. You must be able to learn quickly and put that learning into practice in order to make decisions accordingly.
2. Time management
Time management is a must-have skill. Managing your time well keeps your personal life balanced while improving your career.
Time management skills include a variety of skills that help you manage your time, including organisation, prioritisation, goal-setting, planning, delegation and stress management.
3. Written and oral communication
Written and oral communication are transferable skills from industry to industry.
As a TESOL (English Language) student, you will need to have good written and oral communication to construct an argument, present an idea and address and solve issues.
